Shrimp Probiotics
The shrimp industry is currently facing significant challenges. One of the major concerns is the emergence of acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), previously recognized as early mortality syndrome (EMS). AHPND is triggered by strains of Vibrio parahaemolyticus that carry a highly virulent plasmid and display resistance to various antibiotics. Unfortunately, effective control measures for EMS/AHPND are not yet available, leading to mortality rates reaching as high as 100% within 20 to 30 days after post-larvae are introduced into a pond.
QQpro effectively manages bacterial load by suppressing pathogens like Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Moreover, it possesses the capability to enhance the shrimp’s immune response, amplifying its ability to identify and neutralize pathogens. By modulating the microbial population, QQpro contributes to maintaining a balanced intestinal microbiota. The outcome is a more sustainable and enduring productivity, even at high-density shrimp farming.
Procedure on the application of QQpro probiotics in „Penaeus vannamei“ farming
Application of QQpro as in-feed and as water-applied probiotics for enhancing shrimp growth performance and promoting survival by improving intestinal microbiota as well as the pond water quality.
Postlarvae feed:
Mix 0,2 % with the feed (2g QQpro / 1Kg Feed).
Water Application:
Use pre-germination with 5 – 10% of sugar or molasse under aeration for a better result.
Fast growing strain – Pre-germination for 4 – 8 hours.
